This booking is for one participant in a scheduled Comcare-approved Initial HSR course delivered live online. The five-day program is for elected HSRs covered by the Commonwealth work health and safety jurisdiction who need the approved initial training for the role.
The course develops both legal knowledge and practical HSR skills. Participants learn how the Commonwealth WHS framework operates, how HSRs represent workers and how to use consultation, issue-resolution and risk-management processes effectively in real workplace situations.
What the course covers
Training covers the WHS Act and regulatory framework applying in the Comcare jurisdiction, HSR powers and functions, consultation and representation, workplace inspections, hazard identification and risk management, issue resolution, provisional improvement notices, unsafe-work processes and communication with workers, management and other duty holders.
Delivery, preparation and completion

This is a facilitator-led Zoom course and participants should be available for the complete program with reliable internet, webcam, microphone and a suitable learning environment.
