This booking is for one participant in a scheduled SafeWork NSW approved HSR Refresher course delivered live online. The refresher is intended for HSRs who have already completed the approved five-day initial HSR training and want to update and reinforce their knowledge.
The one-day course revisits the parts of the HSR role that matter most in practice: consultation, representation, issue resolution, risk management, inspections, notices and the legal powers available to elected HSRs. It also provides an opportunity to discuss questions that have arisen since the participant completed initial training.
What the course covers
Participants review the NSW WHS framework, current HSR powers and functions, consultation arrangements, worker representation, hazard and risk management, provisional improvement notices, unsafe-work issues and effective communication with the person conducting the business or undertaking. The course is designed as a practical update rather than a repeat of the full five-day program.
Delivery, preparation and completion

The course is delivered live by Zoom, so participants need reliable internet, a camera and microphone and should be available for the full scheduled day.
